The city of West Sacramento is located smack on the Sacramento River within minutes of the State Capitol.
A community of a little over 30,000, West Sacramento residents enjoy an easy commute into downtown Sacramento in addition to quick access to the Downtown Plaza shopping center and historic Old Sacramento with its renown Railroad Museum.

West Sacramento is home to the River Cats, a minor league baseball team that plays in a recently built stadium near the Sacramento River. Direct river access is available for fishing or boating.
